This section compiles useful information about the various culture-based elements of the series, and is intended to give readers a broader understanding and appreciation for aspects of the story and characters that easily go unnoticed.

Similar to the Cast of Characters section, this will be pretty large and will take time to complete, so pages will be gradually added.


Cultural Notes

Since Eyeshield 21 is a Japanese story written and illustrated by two Japanese creators, there are plenty of cultural references that might fly over the heads of non-Japanese fans. You'll find a large list of definitions here, as well as where they're featured!

This is American Football!

American football, the sport around which Eyeshield 21 revolves, is heavily strategy-based and quite complicated, especially if you don't regularly watch it in real life. This section will function as a primer to the game, including many of the terms that frequently appear in the series itself.
